Branding for A Specialty Candle
Sketch Phase
This project was all about combining two objects or symbols to create a new product. I chose the butterfly and a candle, my thought process was to create a candle that would be used for meditation purposes.
The butterfly outline was the focal point of how I wanted the logo to look. I was intrigued by the geometric effect because it made me think of us as people. We’re not all perfect, we’ve been cracked and broken in different ways but its the way we choose to heal and mend those pieces together, that makes us metamorphic.
The Logo
Going off of the term ‘metamorphic’, I thought about how that translates to transformation and how my product is something that can be used for this transformation process. Meditation is transformative experience and having the right aromatic environment can heighten your sense of focus, hence where my product the ‘Metamorph’ candle comes in.
These were the first two versions of the logo that I made, I went through about 6 drafts before I chose the final rendition.
